Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2006 Google Earth Poultry Update After reading Using Google Earth to Guard the Hen House (February 23, 2006), several of you wondered which version of the software was being used by poultry veterinarians. Basically, it's the free version, a GIS (Geographical Information Systems) coordinator from the University of Pennsylvania just confirmed to me. And as I wrote before, they're using it only to fine tune the location of the hen houses. They already had a good idea of where they were based on their earlier, confidential databases.
